| Student Drug Testing for the 2010-2011 school year . . . Orientation will be held in the Secondary Cafeteria on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 6:30 pm. School Board Election - May 8, 2010
Notice is hereby given that applications for a place on the Palacios ISD Board of Trustees Election ballot may be filed beginning February 6-March 8, 2010, M-F during the hours of 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Office hours will be extended to 5:00 p.m. for filing on Monday, March 8, 2010. Applications must be received by the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010. Applications can be filed in person or mailed to the Palacios ISD Administration Office located at 1209 Twelfth Street, Palacios, TX 77465. |
| Notice: A meeting will be held on March 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. to discuss your child’s or your school’s participation in Special Education. It will be held at the Matagorda County Educational Services office at 2801 15th Street, Bay City. If you plan to attend, please contact Judy Rogers at 979-245-6318. |

Senior Athletic Pass - If you are a resident of Palacios ISD and age 65 or older you are entitled to a Senior Athletic Pass. This pass will allow one general admission seat to attend home athletic events. To receive your pass you must bring proof of age and residency to the Administration Office at 1209 Twelfth Street between the hours of 8:00-4:00, Monday through Friday.

PALACIOS ISD ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 0.66 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $0.00.
